Explore the New Manufacturing announced today the receipt of a $25,000 gift from the Bowles Rice Foundation which will support statewide initiatives designed to help middle and high schools discover the wonders of West Virginia’s manufacturing industry and career opportunities that are available. Thanks to Bowles Rice’s financial commitment, the Explore Program will expand student participation and extend program engagement to parents and the community at large within the organization's six regional hubs.
“It is our firm’s long-standing mission to contribute to the success of our clients and vitality of our communities through advocacy, counsel, leadership, and service,” said Marc Monteleone, managing partner of Bowles Rice. “By providing opportunities for a promising career path for young people so they can remain in our state, while simultaneously addressing our state’s workforce issues, the Explore the New Manufacturing Program exemplifies the goals of our firm’s mission. We are proud to support this program as well as the state’s manufacturing industry.”
“The Explore Program is extremely grateful for Bowles Rice’s donation,” said Executive Director Monica Cross, who oversees the Explore the New Manufacturing Program’s efforts to create student awareness and excitement about careers in manufacturing and the training opportunities for these positions in their local areas. “We are excited by the lasting impact the Bowles Rice contribution will have on our organization. With the ever-increasing demands for employees within West Virginia’s manufacturing industry, Explore the New Manufacturing’s efforts to help students discover the benefits of possible careers is critical for maintaining a strong future workforce.”
