Walker Joins the West Virginia Manufacturers Association Educational Fund Inc. Board of Directors

WVMA Member 1080x1080 Craig WalkerThe West Virginia Manufacturers Association Educational Fund Inc. (WVMAEF) announced today the appointment of Craig Walker to its board of directors. The WVMAEF Board of Directors oversees an educational outreach program, Explore the New Manufacturing, designed to provide West Virginia middle and high school students with topics focusing on manufacturing career pathways. “Craig brings a wealth of board and industry experience to the organization.  We are delighted to welcome Craig to the Board,” said WVMAEF’s Program Director Monica Cross

Craig Walker is the CEO of FCX Systems Inc., a power conversion company with sales worldwide for commercial, military, shore power, and industrial applications. "Having worked in both the manufacturing and education segments, I am appreciative of the opportunities these programs provide to our secondary school students to explore manufacturing and what it has to offer," said Walker

Walker, with a BS and MS from West Virginia University, joined FCX Systems in 2008. He previously spent 30 years at WVU as Assistant Athletic Director, WVU Foundation VP & CFO, and WVU Chief of Staff. Before joining FCX, Walker was Director of Business Services for Glenmark Holding LLC.

As a member of the WVMAEF Board of Directors, Walker will assist in efforts to build manufacturing and educational partnerships in the North Central Region for the Explore Program. In addition, Walker will serve on the Program Committee, where he will help to ensure the organization’s educational outreach is focused on providing activities that enhance skill sets that new employees will need for manufacturing careers.
