“I try to have my classes count for something more than just high school credit. This is done by dual credit with WVUP, industry credentials, and real-world projects. In my computer integrated manufacturing course, the students can earn 3 college credit hours, Haas Milling Operator credential, and NIMS CNC Milling credential.”

“Jared gives an enormous amount of time to benefit students. One example is starting a First Robotics Club with another instructor. He meets with students after school and at times on weekends. Jared and some of his students made PPE equipment utilizing the 3D printer. These were donated to various healthcare professionals.”

“Jared coaches our Robotics Club, "Darkside Robotics," which has won many competitions. His students also participate in the design of the Go-Baby-Go projects for our community, helping provide mobility to disabled children. During the COVID pandemic, Jared used his classroom 3D printer to make and provide various masks to our community.”
